Glenn Rippon

Glenn is a forester with Sabine & Waters, Inc. He is charged with managing the operation of our Orangeburg Office. His responsibilities include: marketing timber sales, land and timber appraisals, reforestation, site prep, prescribed burning, as well as the other services provided by Sabine & Waters. Mr. Rippon composes forest and wildlife management plans for the purposes of advising landowners on forest management decisions that facilitate a pathway to the land owners goals. He can assist clients with obtaining state and federal grants that are aimed at improving forest stand conditions and preserving the natural landscape. Mr. Rippon strives to represent his clients in a way that produces the highest and best use of their land, while also making decisions that preserve our natural resources for future generations.
Glenn is an active member of the Forestry Association of South Carolina sitting on many committees that represent our industry including Vice Chairman of the FASC Young Professionals. Glenn started his career in forestry at Clendenin Lumber Company while attending Clemson University. After his time at Clendenin and desiring to be closer to home, he took a position at Beasley Timber Company in Orangeburg SC. At Beasley he was responsible for: procurement operations in Orangeburg, Bamberg, Allendale, Jasper, Beaufort, Colleton, Dorchester, Charleston, and Berkeley counties, conducting sales in Hardwood and Pine forests, typically in less than ideal logging situations, swamps and low land areas, and running shovel logging crews. With his extensive knowledge of the markets and timber harvesting operations in South Carolina, Glenn was brought on as a member of the Sabine & Waters team to aid in timber appraisals and sales.
Glenn enjoys spending time with his wife Madison and three children: James, Garrison, and Sylvia. He is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys hunting and fishing. When not in the woods he can be found participating in a wide array of hobbies such as woodworking, and gardening. He can also be found feeding the members of Saluda River Baptist Church in West Columbia, where he is an active member and in charge of the kitchen.
